Jaxon is 4!

Where has the time gone, oh my! He is our wild, but lovable little man! His birthday was monday, but we celebrated Sunday with family. Root beer floats, and rainbow chip cookies-with frosting he insists! We also had sandwiches, chips and watermelon for supper. Full house from 3-9! I think it all went fairly smoothly!

 birthday boy!

Not sure why he waited until his 4th birthday to get emotional about the singing! Daddy made it all better, and when I asked if he wanted Sister to blow out his candles he snapped right out of it!

 Mmm yummy!

Present time!

He had been eyeing this bat on the counter since it was poking out of the bag, but still acted excited about it!

And a gun! Such a noisy thing!

Whit whew! Nice cowboy shirt!

Independence Day

Patriotic little lady watering my flowers.

Not sure where she was headed with this planter!

Earlier in the day, we had taken Jaxon to Red Robin for his free birthday kids meal (Kent possibly talked me in to it beings i was craving a juicy burger ;)). It was fun to have Kent home for the day in the middle of the week, and that he was able to join us for lunch out!

Two thumbs up to go watch fireworks!
It was a good show and we got a good view from the grass of the softball field right next to where they light them off. Both kids acted a little nervous at first, but after a few Jaxon was all excited. Hayden relaxed on my lap and was sleeping before it was over! Being that it didn't start til 10 would explain why she was tired, but not sure I could have slept through all that racket!

For whatever reason Hayden is infatuated with Jaxon's car seat, so we let them trade for the short ride.
This poor girl was also in the middle of the course of Hand, Foot, Mouth Virus. That was not fun for any of us! Though I'm sure she had the worst end of the deal. Her gums were so puffy and bled, then she broke out with 4 blisters around her mouth, and one on her tongue. She was very miserable and hardly ate or slept. Was sure happy to have her happy self back Saturday, which was day 7.Her gums still bleed a little with brushing, but she's back to eating and sleeping :)

We had boughten sparklers last year, and forgot all about them. A few nights ago I randomly remembered them and Jaxon got to enjoy them.
I have no idea how to take pictures of this type of thing, but thought this one turned out neat.

Backtracking

Last month, June 15th to be exact, Kent turned 29! Not sure he acts such an age though ;)
His mom and a few of his younger siblings joined us for supper and cake.

Hayden wanted in on all the action. And i was happy to get a picture of those cute pig tails she's sporting!

We had some nice warm weather that was still bearable and the kiddos spent lots of time splashing in their pool.
Jaxon is such a busy guy and tries to avoid the camera, but I try sneaking! Of course I don't want to quit taking pictures of my handsome boy!
 Playing with his water gun.

In and out! She thinks it's so great to splash about and go down the slide in to the water.

Sis discovered she could drink the milk from her bowl! I hardly put any in other than to get her cereal wet, but evidently there was enough leftover!

Such a sweet little lady!

Stealing my lounge chair...good thing they're cute doing it!
